Brian Walker - LPC
My Story
My name is Brian Walker, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho (LCPC-6183), and a Logic Based Therapist (No. 386) from the Logic Based Therapy and Consultation Institute.

I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling in 2013 and then returned and completed the School Counseling Emphasis in 2019. In 2022, I pursued training in Logic Based Therapy and completed credentialing in 2023.

My perspective on mental health and counseling is reality based. When we are suffering in our mental health, whether in a big or small way, our mind is disconnected from reality. Counseling helps bring the mind and reality together again. Once this happens, we can find good solutions to what is going on and work to put them into practice.

Counseling has a few ways to do this. I rely on Logic Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Philosophical Counseling, and, when requested and appropriate, Faith Based Counseling. Since counseling addresses difficult things, I also emphasize the client's individuality through the counseling relationship, using Person Centered Therapy. This means we work to value you for who you are.

Experience wise, I have been a clinical counselor since 2013, working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, both in schools and the community, in person and through telehealth. I am open to working with any difficulty, and if inexperienced, will let you know. If the latter, we can work together to find the answers you are looking for or to help you find someone with more experience.

When not in the office, I am with close family, reading a book, or working outside. There's nothing more fulfilling than filling your mind and heart, and helping others to fill theirs, with close relationships, knowledge, and direct experience of the world.
